Hiriketiya is a small, palm-fringed bay on Sri Lanka’s south coast, near Dikwella. It’s known for gentle surf, laid-back cafés and golden sunsets. Our guest house sits just 300 m back from the beach, so it’s quiet at night and still an easy walk to the sand.
We’re a family-run property and we love helping guests find the best of the south coast, from surf lessons for first-timers to the temples, blowholes and hidden beaches nearby.

How far is the guest house from Hiriketiya Beach?
We are just 300 m from Hiriketiya Beach (also spelled Hirikatiya), a few minutes’ walk to the sand, cafés, restaurants and surf schools.

Do you arrange airport transfers?
Yes. We can arrange a private car from Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) or Colombo. The drive is roughly 3–4 hours via the Southern Expressway, depending on traffic.
When is the best time to surf in Hiriketiya?
The main south-coast season runs from about November to April, when the sea is calmer and the bay is at its best for beginners and intermediates. The sheltered bay can still work outside the season on smaller days.
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast is not included in the room rate. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk of the house, serving everything from Sri Lankan hoppers to smoothie bowls.
